The Sankofa bird reminds us that we must continue to move forward as we remember our past. And at the same time, we plant a seed for the future generations that come after us. Growth is incomplete without remembering and recovering what was lost, forgotten or taken. Personally, it calls me to honor those who paved the way for me to become resilient and to find my purpose.
